I hardly had a moment to sit down with my friends at our Michigan Wedding Celebration. As I go through the photos that Ali took when he had free moments, I recall making the rounds with friends and family; some meeting him for the first time. I kept busy trying to make sure everything was running smoothly and I spent some quality time with each guest. It was much more demanding than our actual wedding in September, where we mostly just gazed into each other’s eyes.
I enjoy looking over the candid shots as well as the posed ones. We were so very blessed to have people come in from all over the country: Oregon, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and a variety of cities and towns from around Michigan. Not to mention that there were five generations of us attending from my soon to be born niece and three nephews to my Great-Grandma Mulvihill. Friends from as far back as elementary school through college attended. Those friends that I’d met on travels since college had to send regrets, as they are still all over the world. Amazingly, I was able to catch up with a few of them over the past couple of months in Melbourne, London and then Chicago. Wow. I love reunions!
As our photo taking was limited, my friend Kelly has also compiled an amazing set of photos that she took: be sure to check out Kelly’s Photos. She did such a fabulous job of getting the mood, surroundings and celebration of the event. I’m so thankful for her and her awesome photo taking abilities. Other photos from the day can be seen on my flickr site, with some for friends and family only. If you would like a guest pass — and I haven’t emailed you one yet — then please leave a comment and I will send you a link to view all of the photos. I usually keep the ones of the kiddies private.
